Our Wedding Dress Services

At Brides of Chester, we offer a complete range of services to ensure that your wedding dress purchase runs as smoothly as possible. A stress-free process is exactly what you need at this exciting time in your life!

In-House Alterations Service

We have an in-house alterations service with 4 experienced and dedicated seamstresses. This is available to all Brides who purchase a new, made-to-order gown with us.

Our seamstresses are also able to customise wedding dresses to your wishes. For example; adding straps, sleeves, belts, inserting corset backs, etc. They love a challenge!

Alterations are chargeable and will differ from gown to gown.

Storage Service

On purchase of a new, made-to-order wedding dress; your wedding dress is stored, free of charge, in a custom made dress bag on our premises and will not leave the boutique until you take it away for your wedding. All of our Brides have peace of mind knowing that their dress is safe, well cared for and fully insured.

Your accessories may also be stored with your wedding dress, safe in the knowledge that everything is together.

Need to take your accessories away for that all-important trial hair appointment? No problem, just bring them back afterwards to be stored once more with your dress.

Free Steaming Service

On completion of your alterations, your new, made-to-order dress will be carefully stored, until the time comes for it to be steamed and prepared, free of charge, ready for collection on a date that suits you (normally a couple of days before the wedding).

Packing Service

If you are marrying abroad, we are happy to professionally pack your new, made-to-order wedding dress, after steaming and preparing it, to minimise creasing. There are 2 options; one, to provide your own suitcase and we will pack your dress for £15 or; 2, to buy an in store airline box, the price of which includes packing, and we will pack your dress into this.
